"Compact, but Very Complex ....intrigue, tension and a surprising and tender ending. "

“That Rowena Cherry packed so much action into less than 15,000 words is mind-boggling. It's hard enough when you writer Contemporary Romance or Historical Romance - the readers are "used" to these worlds so you don't have to fill in all the spaces. But in Sci-Fi Romance, you are really biting off a major task. Cherry does it and style, originality and deftness that will leave the reader amazed. It's a racy, razor edge of a tale, which will leave you amazed at how she does so much with so few pages.”

"Mating Net is a racy tale, full of sexual tension that will keep one in need of cooling off. However, there is one scene about halfway through the story that may offend more sensitive readers. Ms. Cherry never crosses the line into the unacceptable range, but this particular scene could potentially make some readers uncomfortable. ....bound to make any romantic sigh in happiness as they come to the end of the story....observant readers will pick up on some shocking plot twists..."

Four Moons - Excellent work
After his child bride dies in childbirth, Djohn-Kronos, god-Emperor of Trigon, is determined to steal his brother's intended bride. Djohn-Kronos, thinks that it is his right as God-Emperor to do as he pleases. Therefore, he tricks Helispeta into marrying him by pretending to be his twin, Prince Devoran-Vitan. When Helispeta realizes that she has married the evil brother, she plots her escape.

For such a short story, MATING NET vividly describes the alien society, that Ms. Cherry created. The characters are fully flushed out, especially the evil God-Emperor. The only thing, that I found lacking about the story was the interaction between the hero and heroine. Their love would have been more convincing, if more time had been given to their interactions.

All in all, MATING NET is an enjoyable science fiction romance. I recommend it.

Helispeta was promised to Prince Devoron-Vitan, and he was coming for her. What Helispeta didn?t know was that Devoron?s identical twin, Djohn-Kronos, who was the Emperor was the one who claimed her.

Mating Net is a tale that shows us that love can overcome all. This story is the prequel to Forced Mate and does give a better understanding why the characters did what they did. If you read Rowena Cherry's story Forced Mate and enjoyed it then Mating Net, a short story, is something you must read.

FIVE STARS
"Romantic science fiction fans will want to read this powerful deep tale (and its predecessor Forced Mate). The story line loaded with non-stop action ....Rowena Cherry is one of the best sub-genre writers due to her skill at placing the heroic characters in impossible scenarios as she has with the delightful Mating Net."

"A wonderful prequel!"
This is a short story prequel to Ms. Cherry's FORCED MATE and what a story it is! For those who always wondered about Helispeta, Devoron-Vitan and Djohn Kronos, here is their story!

Djohn-Kronos has murdered his father and taken over as Emperor of Tigron. Now he needs a mate and the mate he wants is his brother, Devoron-Vitan's betrothed.

This may have been short but it sure packed a wallop! I just hated that it was so short. Rowena's stories about Tigron and its people are quite fascinating and I'm eagerly awaiting more stories!
