He is dismayed when his spying reveals a conversation where his bride speaks with confidence of his brutality and lack of imagination as a lover. He knows his prowess in bed is well-known but soon he learns that that knowledge means nothing to Djinni-vera. Tarrant-Arragon is sure that he can prove her wrong but to do so he realizes he must employ some sort of strategy and he finds his knowledge of chess is just the ticket. He knows he can checkmate her easily; or can he? He had not counted on Djinni-vera’s stubbornness and her lack of reverence.
Forced Mate is a delightful book from page one to the very last page. Filled with suspense, passion and delightful humor, you can’t help but watch with warmth as these two have the ultimate battle of the sexes. Prince Tarrant-Arragon is a pleasant surprise as he tries to win Djinni’s hand rather than force it. Djinni was refreshing and original in her attempts to thwart him. Unique, fun, and original are just a few of the ways to describe Forced Mate. After reading this one, you will be sure to add a few more superlatives to the list. Rowena Cherry has penned a winner with Forced Mate and we can look also with anticipation for Insufficient Mating Material, the sequel.
